Escape The Matrix (From My Imaginarium #13)

I know it’s been a couple of days, I wasn’t kidding when I said I wouldn’t be making an entry everyday (ugh my chronic laziness gets the best of me most times). However, I did say that I’d make it worth your while when I do make an entry, so let’s hope this one makes some sense to you. I’ve been talking a lot about bad things that may have happened in my past or things that I’ve been struggling with; not that it’s a bad thing, because what I talk about, I hope it can help someone someday; but sometimes it’s good to take the time and appreciate what you do have and all the wonderful things around you that makes life beautiful and worth living.

We’re living in a time where it’s never enough and it’s easy to get caught up in that proverbial bubble of

“ME, ME, ME”.

I’ll admit sometimes it happens to me too, we get so caught up in our own lives that we forget what’s going on around us,

we’re so stressed out about what we must do, and what we must gain each day, that it just becomes all that we ever think about; we never slow down anymore to just appreciate the NOW.

Not that it’s bad to work, I mean technically that’s what we’re supposed to do right? Part of me wants to say yes. To work means to contribute to society; to be a normal functioning member and to work for one’s personal gain…

but is that what life is all about? I think that this world has been created with the sole purposed of enslaving our minds and our ability to work, and no this “world” that I’m talking about isn’t the one created by God, but rather one made by man. Sometimes I get so sick looking at the world around us, something that was once so pure but the selfishness of man tainted its beauty…But at the same time all I can see IS beauty.

(God, I am all over the place, let me start over).

What is Reality?

I often ask myself that question; is it just what I can see, feel or touch or is it more than that? Honestly, I think there is,

I want to believe that I was not put on this earth just to do one thing, to work till I die, to contribute to a system that just benefits few in power while the rest of us act as the cogs in the machine taking all the force and strain of an obsolete perception of reality!

No! I refuse to believe that! Life is so much more than what we see in front of us; I wish everyone would just open their eyes, and see what’s around them, worlds left to be explored, trapped within the confines of our mind.

There are realms beyond our understanding and I want to journey there; I want to get lost, just to be found,

I want to be caught in a never-ending state of wanderlust, I want to experience other realities…because this one…just doesn’t do it anymore…it’s dead and I will be too if I continue to be trapped in this box of servitude to people whose only objective in life is to rule ours. Open your eyes and DREAM!
